Working among those who have a love for things Celtic, their fascination began to influence my work as a jeweler, eventually bringing me to study up on working with leather. One could say that I became a tad obsessed with the intricate patterning and beautiful repetition of a Celtic knot once I learned how to capture it with this material. My pieces range from using 8 strands of leather to 24, and the closure is two strands of deer hide leather which can be tied to accommodate my pieces for being worn around the neck, the hat, or the brow.
This design uses 24 strands of leather and measure 17 inches in length for the woven portion. The strands of deer hide leather at the ends are 7 inches.
